Katie joined PURDYLUCEY in 2024 as a Trainee Patent Attorney, bringing a strong foundation in medicinal chemistry and experience across both industry and European patent systems.
She holds a BSc (Hons) in Medicinal Chemistry and Chemical Biology from University College Dublin, where her research focused on synthetic carbohydrate chemistry. Before joining the firm, she worked as an Analytical Chemist with Norbrook Laboratories and completed a traineeship at the European Patent Office in Munich, gaining hands-on insight into patent examination and European patent law.
Katie works across a range of chemical and pharmaceutical technologies, supporting the drafting and prosecution of patent applications in Ireland, Europe, and internationally.
