Mark McGrath is a Trainee Patent Attorney with an academic background in theoretical physics and mathematics. He holds a First-Class Honours degree in Theoretical Physics from Trinity College Dublin and a Master of Advanced Study in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge, where he explored topics including General Relativity, Quantum Computation, and Particle Physics. His research included a project on the Peccei–Quinn Theory, an extension to the Standard Model.
Mark has previous experience as a Junior Derivative Trader in Amsterdam and has worked on AI-enabled learning products. He has a keen interest in exponential technologies, additive manufacturing, and the evolving role of AI in scientific innovation. Outside of work, Mark enjoys reading, cooking (a former Masterchef star!), endurance training, and competing in Hyrox events.
